ALBERTO TAGLIAFERRI

Originally from Sardinia, Italy, Alberto Tagliaferri began his musical journey in the early 1980s during the genesis of underground, house, and deep house culture. Driven by a deep passion for sound, he bought his very first vinyl records at just 9 years old.

By the age of 16, Alberto was playing professionally alongside the most prominent DJs of the era. Naturally gifted in the art of mixing, he quickly gained widespread recognition for his refined track selection and acute sensitivity to evolving musical trends. He soon became a resident and guest at Sardinia’s most iconic summer clubs—particularly in Costa Smeralda—before extending his career across major venues in Italy and internationally.

A true pioneer, Alberto was among the first artists to integrate external analog machinery, hardware grooveboxes (such as the Roland MC-505), and live performance controllers into his DJ sets, adding custom groove and rhythmic dimensions to his shows.

For over two decades, he has remained a dedicated ambassador of authentic house music. His signature style seamlessly balances straight beats, broken rhythms, and warm basslines—always preserving a deep, soul/chilled vibe enriched by pitch-shifted vocal samples, while strictly keeping his artistic identity distinct from techno.

In 2012, Alberto founded Performance Label to release his own original tracks and showcase like-minded international producers within the house and deep house scene.
